I knew Buck for over 5 decades.  We watch countless Washington Redskins games. Playing poker til the wee hours.  Playing 100's of rounds of frisbee-golf.  Hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains. Working on our respective VW's.  Buck was not only a good friend but one I could count on if I needed assistance.  I knew that I could call Buck he would come to help.

He did an amazing job, for 10 years, being the main caregiver for his father who had Alzheimers.  It is ironic that Buck succombed to the same illness.  This is just one example of the dedication and selflessness that Buck practiced throughout his life

Tom Young, Buck and myself had some wonderful times together hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains.  Buck would make Brunswick stew on our hikes and with that sly grin of his we all would eat on an outcropping overlooking the valley. This was the only time I would eat Mrs.McFearnow's Brunswick Stew!!

Poker games were always fun no matter where.  We had many "Full moon pontoon poker games" out on the Swift Creek Reservoir until the wee hours of the night.  We had to play with poker chips because paper money would just blow into the lake.  Good clean fun.

Buck introduced Tom and I to frisbee golf.  Before that we would go to Forest Hill Park (I lived in Woodland Heights at the time) and practice throws and catches.  After Buck heard about frisbee golf during a trip to Wake Forest University he share this with us and we started a 50 year love for the game.  It still goes on to this day!

THANK YOU HAWKMAN!!!

It has been a pleasure knowing you and I'm sure we will see each other again!
