Terry Flinn VIEW PROFILE

FLINN, Mr. Terry Lee, of the beautiful Golden State of California, born in Richmond, Va., on June 17, 1950, left this world to begin his next adventure in heaven on May 14, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Lee Flinn; and stepmother, Mary Flinn. He is survived by his soul mate and loving wife, Rachel Self Flinn; and their two golden retrievers, Frisco Lee Flinn and Cali Girl Lee Flinn. He is also survived by his mother, Jean Mooney; sisters, Donna Flinn Gill (Donnie) and Tammy Flinn Farley (Darrell); brothers Trey Flinn, Troy Flinn (Denise) and James Herbert (Sandy); and many loving nieces and nephews. Terry graduated from Mr. Jefferson's University in 1973. From Charlottesville he traveled West and ended up in the beautiful city of Santa Barbara. He loved Santa Barbara and a few of his special elementary and high school friends followed him there for brief periods of time. He attended diving school at the City College of Santa Barbara and upon graduation moved to Scotland to work in the North Sea as a Deep Sea/Decompression Diver. From the North Sea he then went to Homer, Alaska, where he homesteaded and built an amazing log cabin from the ground up, overlooking the Kachemak Bay. He then returned to Virginia, where he met is soul mate, Rachel at the Robin Inn. His stepmother, Mary and sister, Tammy, were the matchmakers. Terry always pined for the beautiful Golden State, so he and Rachel decided they were up for another adventure, packed up and moved West to the beautiful magical Bay Area where they were always able to look to the sun. Terry has a special group of friends from Bon Air Elementary and Huguenot High School called the "REWNS" (RICHMOND EXODUS WHY NOT SHOW), they remain friends today. They have had many wonderful adventures together and have remained together through thick and thin. These friends were always close in his heart and gave him much love and happiness. Thank you to Eddie, Benny, Jay, Steve, Randy and Danny for your years of love and friendship and making the REWNS trips unforgettable! God Bless Terry Lee Flinn, God Bless the REWNS, until we are together again.
