I take full blame for the name tags (since I made them)! I thought putting "Class of 1968" on the class members' tags and "Guest" on the guests' tags would be enough, but who knew?! Next time, they will be 2 different colors! Sorry for any inconvenience!

Boy --I really hate that I missed a great event. Couldn't believe how much Hal Hughey looked like he did in Mrs. Meyers first grade picture. Really miss the old crowd.

The pictures from the 41st reunion are great! I just wish I could have been there. It's fun to see everyone together and reliving "the good ole days" and all the wild and crazy things we did! Hopefully I'll make it to the next one. Thanks to all that put this reunion together and for sharing the pictures! Again, thanks to you,Bill, for this website. IT'S WONDERFUL!!!

Does the class of '67 have a website?

The best thing about being at Bottega's was hearing Hal Hughey laugh. That sound took me back 45 years!!!

It was fun seeing some of the classmates at Short Pump and then at Stomping on the Tracks at the old train station. Both places had classmates! If anyone else knows of something that we would all enjoy please post it on the website. Cryus McCormick and the Reapers were wonderful - I'm sorry I didn't get to stay for the whole thing. Sharon - I'm sorry I missed you. If you are in the White Stone area give me a call (804) 436-2922 this summer.

Message received from Pam Barton:

I'm sorry I could not make it to the reunion. It looks like everyone had a good time. Cindy and I had lunch together. She's terrific and it was good to see her again. I'm new to computers. My sister was communicating for me. I am now typing on my own computer. Sorry if I did not get back to anyone who e-mailed me before. My address is pambarton29@yahoo.com, if anyone wants to say hi.

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Leonard Alley. I didn't have many classes with him but I definitely remember him in our gym classes. I especially remember Coach Stacia letting us play slaughter ball/kill ball/poison ball and his delight in seeing one of the skins get tattooed on bare skin with one of those volley balls. One of my most vivid memories is Leonard getting hit with a screamer from one of our more athletic young men. His face was contorted from the pain but he sucked it up and trotted off the court.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, loved sports more than Leonard. It seemed a shame at the time that one who loved sports so much was so poorly equipped to play. He was the living epitome and poster boy for the nonathletic, nerdy 97 pound weakling. But he tried hard at everything and when he couldn't play he served as a manager, scorekeeper, or assistant in some way. It's obvious that his love of sports stayed with him until the end of his life and I hope it gave him a satisfaction that not everyone receives in life.

Rest easy Leonard.

We are all sorry about Leonard Ally.I knew he appeared sick at the last two reunions but did not know how severe. Leonard was into everything, but I remember him in the (high school) choir at Bon Air Presbyterian, I can't remember everyone, Jon, Biff, Connie and Jeff Stevenson. Add your name because I'd love to remember. We mad the place rock, on the softer side! Leonard never missed a practice or a performance. I'll miss you.

Hi Classmates - I've moved into a new era.  Happy Hour at the Crossings in Bon Air Retirement facility with my mom!!!  Actually - it is fun to see parents of other Huguenot friends.  It is a new place - only a year old.  They still have room so think about it if you are looking for an easier life for your parents.  Everytime I go I see someone else from Bon Air.  The management and staff are fabulous and they are looking out for my mom!  When are we all getting together again????

I was wondering about the next reunion, too!  Debbie, I was in your store in White Stone several weeks ago.  They told me you were moving your Mom into an assisted living facility that weekend.  Glad to hear you made it through that ordeal and that your Mom is adjusting to the change.  I know it is comforting to know that she is being taken care of and in a good place.  Maybe we all should think about retiring back in good ole' Bon Air!  Hope to be back in White Stone soon.

In response to Bill's notification regarding David Brown's death, it was actually Wylie Crawford who brought David's death to my attention.  I notified Bill regarding the possibility it was "our" David Brown and Bill confirmed it.  Prayers go out to his friends and family.

Beth Brinckerhoff (Johnson)

Bill,

Thank you and the committee for all you have done to make this reunion possible. I have tried very hard to come up with a way that I would be able to attend, but because of weddings, birthdays, vacations and work, July is full.  Please give my my best to everyone there.  If something is canceled and I will be able to come, I will let you know immediately. I would love to see everyone again.

Beth

Hi Bill,

A HUGE thank you to you and the committee for organising this class reunion.  I am going to miss it by four days -- unfortunately long-standing commitments  here in London prevent me from making the 20th  but I shall be thinking of everyone.

Please take lots of photos!

All good wishes to everyone!

Cricket Geisinger (White)

Hi All,

I am sad to say I will not be able to attend this year as I'll be working out of the country and won't be back until August 10.  But posted photos and comments about it will give all of us absent classmates a taste of what happened.  I look forward to them all.

Have a great 45th!  And Bill and Committee - thank you for your untiring efforts to get us all together.  Your comments, Bill, about who knows who will be left for the next reunion ring true to me so I do hate missing this one.

Have a great party!

Cricket

Now THAT was a blast! Let's all send in pictures of the party so our Classmates who were unable to make it can see how amazing the 45th was, and start planning to attend the 50th! //Bill

Great 45th Reunion last night at Brandermill! Lots of fun seeing classmates. Many thanks to Bill and the Reunion Committee for keeping up with everyone's contact info through the years and getting all of us together. That's a major accomplishment. Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks to all on the Reunion Committee for a job well done!!  What a fun night!!!  Your hard work is greatly appreciated.   It's always fun to see everyone and relive some of our "fond" memories of high school and our youth!  Can't wait until the 50th!

Nancy Ladd (Lueckel)

Well, it sounds as though the 45th reunion was another huge success!!  I can't tell you how sorry I am that I missed being there and seeing everyone.  You were definitely thought about throughout the evening - that's for sure.  Bob and I had a wedding for a good friend's son that we had known about for a year, so we didn't feel we could not attend it.  With that being said, I will catch up with Marybeth to hear ALL about this fabulous night.  (Wish I could have joined in with the singing of our class song. . .  :>)  Wonderful and very fond memories have been with me ever since I graduated from Huguenot, and I will be seeing you at the 50th!!!

Love ya,

~Nancy~

I was so sorry to miss the reunion - sounds like it was great fun.  Unfortunately I broke a bone in my foot - and have a cast, and am on crutches, so it is very hard to get around.  Hopefully we will have another one really soon, and I can manage to say whole for a while!
